Guides to thoughtful gifting

How to create a wedding gift wishlist

Planning a wedding includes helping guests who would like to give you something thoughtful. A clear wishlist offers ideas without making a gift an obligation. Agree on your preferences as a couple and leave room for different budgets.

The quick answer

Create a Wedding celebration and add wishes to the list created when you save it. Share one common link or QR code so guests can reserve gifts. There is no draw, and reservations are hidden from the wishlist owner.

1. Agree on gifts you would enjoy

Review what you already own, the space available and your plans together. Include useful objects, experiences or handmade ideas if you like. Avoid adding things just to fill the list. Decide who will manage it: entering both partners’ names does not grant editing access or create a shared account.

2. Create a Wedding celebration

Sign in, open Celebrations and select Wedding. Add a recognizable title, name the honorees and include only details you want to share. Saving creates your wishlist. The button at the end of this guide opens this celebration type directly. If you cannot register or access your account, contact the support team.

3. Describe each idea with helpful details

Specify measurements, colors, quantities or materials when they matter. Use a store link for a particular product; a URL is optional for your own idea. You can add your own reference image. For an experience, describe the idea without publishing personal documents or payment details. The platform does not collect money or organize group gifts.

4. Offer different budgets and rank your favorites

Mix simple gifts with other options without asking for a minimum spend. Prices you enter are approximate: check the currency and remember that stores may change them. Drag cards by the handle or use the arrows to put your favorites first. The order guides guests but does not reserve a gift.

5. Share the list with a friendly invitation

Open Share link to copy the URL, prepare a WhatsApp message or download a QR image with the wedding name. All guests can use the same link. You might write: “We would love to celebrate with you. If a gift idea would help, here is our wishlist; your company matters most.” Check the recipient before sending.

6. Arrange reservations and delivery in advance

Ask guests to reserve the idea they plan to give and cancel their own reservation if plans change. Other guests see availability; the owner cannot see reservations. Reserving does not buy anything, charge money or guarantee stock. Each guest purchases separately and arranges shipping, delivery or returns with the store. Agree on delivery arrangements for bulky gifts first.

Common questions

Does a wedding wishlist use a draw?

No. It is a shared wishlist with reservations. Exchanges are the flow that assigns each participant someone to give to.

Can we both edit from separate accounts?

Entering the couple’s names does not grant permissions. The account that created the list manages it; this guide does not imply joint editing from separate accounts.

Can we collect cash contributions through the list?

anything.gift does not process payments or collect contributions. You can describe your own idea, but purchasing or arranging it happens outside the platform. Do not publish bank information on a shared list.
